We assist police organizations, university and college campus safety departments in assessing organizational efficiencies, best practices, and (IACLEA) campus police accreditation readiness. International Association of Campus Law Enforcement Administrator (IACLEA) is the largest professional association devoted to excellence in campus public safety and law enforcement. Our firm consists of seasoned Police Chiefs and Executives with a broad background in developing policies, procedures, instituting best practices and gaining International and National Accreditation Certification for departments. We are trusted among large university institutional systems and are official Accreditation Assessors. Furthermore, we specialize in After Action Incident analyses and recommendations and Peace Officer Standards and Training (POST) police personnel background investigations.

ABOUT NINA JAMSEN

Ms. Nina Jamsen has over 36 years of local law enforcement and government experience. She retired as Chief of Police from California State University, San Bernardino, then transitioned into assessing organizational readiness, leading the University of California, San Diego Police Department through its first IACLEA Accreditation process. She served as the President of the newly created systemwide University Police Accreditation Coalition (UPAC), collaborating with ten University of California Campuses in their police accreditation efforts. She is an official IACLEA Assessor, and a member of the IACLEA On-Site Assessment Team. Additionally, she has served on several Police Executive Committees and Associations throughout her career, specializing in Policy Development, Use of Force Evaluations, Training and Police Mental Health Response Teams.
Ms. Jamsen also served at the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department in several assignments. She served as a contract city Commander, Police Chief for the cities of Loma Linda and Grand Terrace, and as the Executive Officer for the Sheriff's Regional Training Center. Finally, after 27 years of service, she retired from the Sheriff's Department as the Commander of Glen Helen Rehabilitation Center.
Nina has a strong leadership reputation in the public sector in Inland Empire, California. Throughout her six-and-a-half-year tenure as a Police Chief, she implemented major forward-thinking changes within her agency. Her philosophy was driven by community-oriented policing, guided by 21st Century policing pillars and police accreditation standards. Nina was recognized as a Pioneer Woman by the City of San Bernardino, California. Additionally, the 42nd District of the California State Assembly recognized her as a Woman of Distinction. The San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department selected Nina as the very first female Use of Force expert and Range Master where she trained hundreds of recruits and advanced officers.
Ms. Jamsen obtained her Bachelor's Degree in Administration of Criminal Justice from the University of West Virginia. She earned her teaching credential from California State University, San Bernardino. In 2015, Nina graduated from the FBI National Academy, Class 255.
Nina is a proud Finnish native, a first generation college graduate, and is fluent in Swedish and Finnish. She is a lifelong student of Traditional Okinawan Goju Ryu Karate and earned her Black Belt from Master Sensei Morio Higaonna.
